My dream career growing up was to become a Forensic Scientist... so how'd we end up here? In high school I was big into my local music scene and the DIY punk culture. Naturally, this lead me into promoting local shows and bands. Soon, I began joining street teams and at the age of 14 I worked my first Vans Warped Tour as a volunteer for Epitaph Records. Rapidly, my dreams changed; I fell in love with marketing.
After high school I pursued a degree in Marketing from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Prior to graduating I landed my first marketing role and quickly rose into a management position. After receiving my degree I continued to expand my skillset, hone my experience, and grow in my career.
Now, 10 years into my career I have reached a director level position and believe I'm still just getting started. While I am a marketing generalist, there are few things I haven't done because I simply believe that there is nothing I can't do. Those DIY roots are still with me - I'm constantly learning new skills, trying to master them, living creatively, and following my passions.
